circle rock

On the morning I was leaving the city for a three week art making retreat, I found this rock sitting on top of the fence in my backyard. I know it had not been there the day before because I had been painting the fence. I had already decided that I wanted to start to draw rocks on this much anticipated retreat. This small stone gift was my starting point.
